How do I motivate myself? I learned long ago that I am not my body, mind or emotions...that I am S/He who observes these aspects of myself. That knowing motivates me. And after practicing this indentity I now know that I am my body, mind and emotions. It's as if I lost myself to find myself.

Motivation is like being plugged in to Nature and Her rhythms and seasons. There is a range of colors, sounds, temperatures, smells, tastes, etc. If I get unplugged because of some past pattern that no longer works I adjust and get back in the groove.

I daily begin my day by spending time in the presence of God until my heart is filled with being loved and humbly accept that I am loved with such an awesome LOVE that as I tote water and chop wood I can realize what a small thing it is to do the deeds of daily life when one can serve and be a tool of divine will.

Excellent question to us! I've made several committments to the Holy Spirit, that still small voice within, and i'm not going to let him down. I'm studying "A Course In Miracles" and i've committed myself to reading/studying a lesson day. With 365 lessons, it keeps me motivated. I've also committed to posting a lesson a day in the Chopra Community online, if I could motivate someone through Deepak's lessons, it's certainly motivation for me to continue on my journey.

The exhaustion of all other ways. In my seeking the kingdom over the years, I have exhausted everything I know and have come to a realization that all things are really a means to an end. It is because of this, I know the world and all that is in it has nothing that can add to what I already have.

I hate to admit this but I rely far more than I probably should on my partner to motivate me. I'm not sure I'd stick with the daily practice if she didn't (of course, she might not continue if I didn't). We've just started using Unity teachings as the basis for our practice and we're still forming the habit of taking time each day to go into the silence, as well as read, listen to Unity FM, etc.

I think that, in time, as the practice becomes an integral part of my life and I begin seeing the manifestations that I know are happening, I will need to "motivation" to continue -- NOT continuing will be out of the question!

I remember where I was when I started this journey. I recall how God has revealed Himself over time as able to do exceeding abundantly above all I ask or hope according to the power at work within me. When I have times of the "honeymoon is over" , I remember how those experiences have made me stronger through endurance training and also how they have made me more compassionate. I pray for ways to encourage others and give away some of the hope and inspiration I have received. I pray, read the Bible, check out spiritual websites, meditate, and thank God. I remember that I reap what I sow and the seed doesn't sprout right away, so don't go digging it up prematurely, I stay spiritually fit that way and I keep an open mind to many ways of looking at a problem or circumstance.

GOOD MORNING to ALL~~~
Oh, I LOVE this question...because just recently, I have learned a new & powerFULL Lesson which encourages We to begin EACH day...saying:

~~~I am AVAILABLE for a MIRACLE, this day!!!~~~
How incredible it is to KNOW that MIRACLES come in ALL Sizes & Shapes. The GOOD NEWS is that My very FIRST Miracle in the day is simply seeing My sweet Kitty Kat, WHISPER. Then, as I put My feet on the floor...I STEP FORward to welcome the day.
Try it!!! You will be deLIGHTed when You recognize the 'gift' of EACH & EVERY Miracle that can/will come Your way.
Blessings to You...Always!!! I'm off to receive the next MIRACLE of NOW!!!.
NAMASTE'
Whispering...AVAILABLE for A MIRACLE...today!!!
I think we are always on the journey. The main difference is whether we are aware and active or just going along for the ride.
