In Gratitude To the Divine


For bringing me

This peace

For taking away

The part

of my heart

That always hurt

beyond my reach

beyond healing

until now

I say thanks

Thank You

Thanks

Thanks

Upraised

To the ceiling

To the roof

To the sky

To the stars beyond all seeing

I say thanks

With my whole being

Every cell uplifted

Beginning to stir

In the dance

Every breath

Willing this forever

I say thanks

Beyond voice

Beyond words

Beyond all thought

all sensation

all sound...

I say thanks

and I hear now

“Just be.”
