THE TOUCHING THE STILLNESS PRAYER EXPERIENCE

We are extending our Prayer Experience Prayer Vigil throughout the month of December with the following affirmation:

“LIVING FROM THE PEACE OF THE DIVINE WITHIN ME I EXUDE PEACE AND I AM A BLESSING TO THE WORLD.”

As always, thank you for your part in expanding this meditation practice that will change the world because of the ways in which it will change us!

Feel free to email touchingthestillness@unity.fm or post your comments and feedback right here on the Touching the Stillness Community page.

THE PRAYER EXPERIENCE

Who: All are invited to participate…invite your friends and loved ones to join and/or support this initiative, as we experience the peace of the Divine and express it our world, our lives and our affairs.

What: Spend 15 minutes of dedicated time in silence, using the affirmation provided. God's good expresses from the Silence.

When: 10:00 PM every evening (your local time) for 30 days from 01 - 31 December 2009.

Where: Wherever you are located. No computer is necessary for this; just find a place to rest in silence for 15 minutes.

Why: To be part of a life-changing Prayer Experience that will positively influence our lives and life on the planet through the activity of transformative silent meditation.

The affirmation to take into the silence:

“Living from the peace of the Divine within me I exude peace and I am a blessing to the world.”

"Who do you say you are?" is the question posed in today's program called "What You Think About Me is None of My Business". It's not so much about how others may erroneously judge us...it's more about the false ideas and beliefs we hold about oursleves. The music in the program reminds us that we are one with Spirit (Jack Fowler's song "Spirit" from his Picture This CD -www.jackfowler.info); that we would show up differently if we remembered how sacred we were ("Sacred" from Muriel Buhrs' Angelica CD - www.Murielsings.com) and who we truly are at our core ("I Am" by Devotion from their Intention CD -www.devotionsings.com).
Still not sure of our spiritual identity? Then in the silence we allow the Spirit to reveal it to us.
Have a blessed and prayer-powered week.

In part two of our answered prayer series, Return to Sender, we explored the idea of dropping the label off our experience...you know, labelling it 'bad' and rejecting it if the answer does not come exactly how, when, and where, we think it should; and "good" if it does. "Take the labels off and let go of resistence" says Rev. Ellen Debenport, co-host of Unity.FM's "Absolute Living", who joined me on the program today to help answer our last two questions in the series.
Tune in to hear more on our thoughts around "answered" and "unanswered" prayer and hear too the great music from Spiritus "Trust the Wind"; and Rickie Byars-Beckwith's "Accept this Prayer" from her In the Land of I AM CD (www.rickiebyars.com). The meditation music today was "Reverence" from Jonathan Goldman's Celestial Reiki II CD (www.healingsounds.com).
Email me your comments and feedback about today's program and any experiences examples you may have around "answered prayer". Feel free to also email any prayer requests you may have to touchingthestillness@unity.fm
Until then, Happy Thanksgiving and Prayer-powered Living,
Hugz

What a scintillating start to our two-part series on "unanswered prayer" with today's Thought for the Day - "Barking Up The Wrong Tree"
Be sure to tune into next week's program ("Return to Sender"), where we'll explore two more questions around this sticky subject.
Meanwhile, today's program was supported by music from the following:
"Father of My Soul" by Daniel Namod from his Sacred Love CD (www.danielnahmod.com);
"Receiving Chant" by Karen Drucker from her Songs of the Spirit III CD (www.karendrucker.com); and "Centered in the Storm" by Richard Meckdeci from his Shortcut to Paradise CD (www.empowerma.com).
Today's meditation music was "Holy Harmony" by Jonathan Goldman.
We are truly blessed with all the resources and support that helps us bring this prayer and meditation program to the airwaves. We are so truly grateful for ALL OF IT! We are especially grateful for you - our treasured listeners.

It was a joy to have Jonathan Goldman on the program today. I used one of his CDs, Holy Harmony, as background music for the meditation and was so zoned out at the end I completely omitted to let you know his website details. www.healingsounds.com
Today's music was from Karen Drucker: "Holy, Holy, Holy" from her Songs of the Spirit II CD. (www.karendrucker.com) and also from Daniel Namod, "I'm Raising the Veil" from his Sacred Love CD. (www.danielnahmod.com)
Jonathan and his wife, Andi Goldman, will both be faciliating a sound retreat at Unity Village next fall. Check out the website for details...SpiritPathonline.org.
Until next week...Stay blessed! Stay prayed up!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YA!
That's right...on yesterday's broadcast of Touching the Stillness we celebrated our one year anniversary. We went on the air on 04 November 2008 and what a year it has been! We've prayed together with hundreds of people; we dived deep through times of meditation; and explored and shared tips, tools and various styles of prayer and meditation to deepen our practice. We have much to celebrate so we give thanks to God!
We are also celebrating the culmination of our Touching the Stillness 30-day Prayer Experience that ended on 30 October where we stopped each night at 10:00PM, for 15 mins of silence, asking and seeking nothing but a deeper connection with God. As you will hear from the testimonials on yesterday's program, the Prayer Experience was a great success and so enjoyed as a practice by many that we are expanding it for another 30-days through the month of November. Please feel free to join us using the same affirmation as last month.

THE PRAYER EXPERIENCE AFFIRMATION:
“I am seeking the Kingdom of God Consciousness and Its righteousness, perfectly believing that all good things shall then be added to me.”

The music that helped us celebrate our first birthday came from the following artists:

"I Stand Amazed" by Garnett Hundley and Beverly Dougherty (whose name I got tongue-tied over LOL!) from their new Within & Without CD (www.garnettandbeverly.com); "Count Your Blessings" by Richard Meckdeci from his God Is! CD (www.empowerma.com"); and "Thank You For This Day" by Karen Drucker's Heart of Healing CD (www.karendrucker.com)
It's been an amazing year, we have many blessings to be grateful for and we give thanks for this day that affords us the opportunity to support each other with prayer and practice deepening our connection to Spirit with meditation.
I love you all and thank you for being part of this dynamic praying community.
Stay blessed! Stay prayed up!

Hi Everyone:
I thought it might be helpful to see a sample of a mandala from oneof Monique's colouring books that we talked about on this week's program (Colorfully Spiral Into Your Center).
As discussed you can let the colours choose you that you wish to use; colour outside of the lines, add and embellish as intuitively guided.
For more information about Mandalas and Monique's work log onto www.mandali.com. The site also has useful links to other websites on the subject.

Meanwhile, the music on Tuesday was "The Grace Chant" created by Richard Meckdeci from the Grace Prayer by Rev. Debbie Tyson. It appears on Richard's God Is! CD. http://www.empowerma.com
The Prayer < is the song that took us to our time of prayer and is from the Right Here, Right Now CD by Garnett Hundley. www.garnettandbeverly.com

If you listened to today's program, I trust you are in love with your beautiful body and that you'll find the affirmations...well, affirming. I loved the stories today's guests, Becki and Cindy shared and hope you find them inspiring too.
The wonderful music that set the tone for the day was from Karen Drucker "The Beauty in You" from her Songs of the Spirit III CD, and "The Healing Song" from her Heart of Healing CD; as well as music by Karen Taylor Good, "I Forgive You, Me" from the 13 Steps CD that is part of the Colin Tipping, Radical Forgiveness program.
The websites for both for you to check out their music are as follows:
Karen Drucker: http://www.karendrucker.com
Karen Taylor Good: http://www.karentaylorgood.com.
So as we prepare to go off and truly love the skin we're in, I'll let one of today's guests, Cindy White, say so eloquently what we think:
"I truly believe that Unity has always had this message of healing and wholeness for mind, emotions, and body. If we are willing to stand in this Truth, undiluted by caution or disbelief, we claim our wholeness. The world hungers for what we are sharing, and it all begins as we are...Touching the Stillness. What a powerful healing ministry!"
Stay blessed, Stay prayed up!
