Hi again Sara,
The good news is that no one else has to be on the same page as you. You only have to mind your consciousness. In fact if you feel like you have to get others on board it can keep you from your alignment. I know that you know this…I...
Hi Sara,
Sounds like you are doing much better. This blog has great references and quotes. I think you are shifting your energy and that will make a big difference in the outcome for you. Being the picky absolutist that I am, I would tweak a coupl...
Laura--Being a listener, I knew your were travelling! Hope you and the children had great fun with Ellen, who is such a treasure. I also listen to her Unity at Wimberly broadcasts and hope she decides to create her position as a permanent minister.
And your comments are extraoridnarily helpful. Thank you so much!
Writing checks using a small notebook is a fabulous idea--I plan to start doing this today! I am praying financial abundance using a specified amount. This morning, I created my budget. While gardening, I experienced such happiness thinking that I would be able to look at the budget and the various people/organizations who will enjoy the results. I have thought how it would be nice to be anonymous and yet have fun making the gifts by meeting with the orgnaization's board or director. Now I will have fun writing the checks! I do have a check in my wallet for the amount I am attracting/allowing. I have always thought it would be such fun to be the person in a TV show that aired in the 50's (forget the name) where an individual gave out loads of monies anonymously--I think each week a different person was helped with very positive results.
Many blessings to you and Ellen. I love you both, Diane
P.S. I am learning the way to speak--and would welcome feedback regarding what I just shared if the words used could be tweeked.
Hi Diane,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I have been out of town and then home again and catching up. You know how that goes. It is good to hear from such a great fan. It’s fun to think that we have something to say that can be listened to more than once.
As for your question, I like to think that no matter what the circumstances are we can always be using our creative ability. Since it is all about our consciousness, we can find words and acts that cause a relief in our minds. Something like; I am free for coffee or tea (rather than lunch) or I am choosing to give my extracurricular monies (lunch, movie etc.) temporarily to my daughter and son-in-law. It is only a temporary situation and for the time being, I am being more creative about how I spend my money. Say things like: I know how to make a dollar stretch or ask yourself; do I need to buy this right now, not that I can’t ever have it, but do I really need it right now?
Another thing you can do is spend money vibrationally rather than physically. What I mean by that is you can have a universal checkbook that has an unlimited source of funds. You can write checks to anyone in any amount for any reason. You can create it from a small spiral notebook and write checks to your heart’s content. I did this in the past and wrote checks for things like lunch or a movie for a group of friends or for things like houses for friends and family, fertility procedures for a friend, clothes, trips, businesses, charities, etc. It is fun and it expands your financial consciousness. You can tell people that you are doing it or keep it to yourself-whatever feels good to you.
If you genuinely ask the Source for assistance in feeling better in this situation and finding creative ways to use the money you have, you will get lots of inspiration.
I hope this helps…let me know if you want more.
Love you
Laura
Hi Laura and Ellen--I listen and re-listen to your show at least five times per week. Here are several practical questions regarding choice of words.
My husband and I have a wonderful healthy contented life. And we look forward to increased financial abundance. I have been laid off from a part-time job which will begin again next week. We are seeking an increased financial position.
What words do I use to stay in the right vibration when:
Someone asks if I would like to go to lunch, and I prefer to stay within my budget, which does not include this option.
One of the organizations I always make an annual philanthopic gift to asks for a gift. We will be able to make a gift when our incease comes. Usually we make our gifts in June and in fact include Unity. For now, I stay within our budget and shift dollars to our daughter and son-in-law and newborn grandson, as our son-in-law is in the same situation I am in regarding work. What words do we use to describe this and stay within the vibrational level to attract that which we welcome.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for your question. My opinion, for what it is worth, would be to allow your child to follow his own guidance. When we insist on our kids listening to us we little by little train them away from their inner guidance. If left alone, children will be inspired to eat what their bodies need. Sometimes is could be sweets and then they seem to balance that with other foods. Sometimes it’s small amounts that may seem like not enough to survive and other times it seems like more than their little bodies can handle. I think we can offer it, but I don’t believe we should force it. And the other thing to remember is that it’s just a snapshot, nothing is written in stone and things ebb and flow. He may not like vegetables right now and if you don’t force him to eat them he may eventually begin to like them.
Thanks again for your question!
Love you
Laura
I have a question for Laura and anyone who knows how to apply Unity principles to this situation: toddler not eating vegetables! I routinely affirm my son's Christ-identity, and often find we can transcend what most would perceive as parenting "problems." However, my son doesn't always eat the vegetables we serve him, and I wonder about his nutritional needs, EVEN AS I KNOW THAT HE IS A SPIRITUAL BEING AND THAT HIS BODY IS A SERIES OF THOUGHTS. I also suspect that children are enough in touch with their bodies to be able to know what to eat. Do I need to keep insisting that he eat vegetables at every meal? I'm stuck between the old and the new.
hey Laura
