- About Me:
- Born, raised and spent most of my life living in a London suburb in England.
My late husband and I initially arrived in Arizona in June 1996.
After a series of unpleasant events, culminating in January 1998 when my husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor; he passed away three months later. Soon after his death I moved down here to the Verde Valley, on the property we bought together.
Since then I have spent most of my time in reflection seeking Spiritual guidance.
I began making jewelry approximately seven years ago - at the time unskilled and with no idea where it would take me. The next two or three years I attended art shows around Arizona, then I returned to painting after a twenty year break.
My medium is acrylics and enjoy experimenting with different styles and subjects, my inspiration comes from Native American Symbolism, Impressionism and the desert scenery. I have recently become interested in Mixed Media/Assemblage and just finished my first piece. It was fun. I am now working on another.
I am now in the process of trying to sell my property so that I can move to town; to be near public transportation (I don't drive) and friends.
I need to move on with my life.

Grief and the Holidays
At this time of year with everyone spending their holidays with family reminds me of holidays past when my husband was still alive.
This thanksgiving I will spend the day with my dog - I could have visited with my daughter and her boyfriend but chose not to for reasons that are difficult for me to define.
We spend a lot of time and energy on our own enjoyment but lets not forget there are a lot of people out there that are grieving for their lost loved ones. Even though for me, it is now 10 ye… Continue
