I read a news headline today that said Alzheimer’s rates are going up. Every time I have seen any story on Alzheimer’s I have always wondered what if one of the reasons for this dis-ease had to do with more pain that these people wanted to remember.

Jesus taught us that until we learn to see the world as little children, we cannot enter the kingdom of God. I gained some new insight on this quote that helped me learn how to apply this in my life differently than how I had understood it before.

Once we understand that all of life mirrors our unconsciousness back to us, we realize that we don't have to change the world in order for us to feel safe, happy or loved. Once we learn to give ourselves those things, the world reflects it back to us.
The difference is by then, we don't need it from others. We receive it gladly, but if someone cannot give it consistently, we feel no loss...because we have filled that need within ourselves.

From the time we are born, our minds are looking out at the world and deciding who and what we are in relation to the people with whom we interact. Intuitively, we know how to hold onto things and let go of them when they no longer serve us. But when it comes to our emotions, we forget how natural this is for us, because few of our caretakers knew how to model this for us.

The title of this post is an adaptation of Napoleon Hill’s famous quote, “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

I teach what I most need to heal. While I am a Spiritual Life Coach and I teach Self-Mastery, I am still teaching what I most need to heal.

Anyone that knows me knows that one of my favorite quotes is from Marianne Williamson's book "A Return to Love" when she speaks about our "deepest fear." This is a quote that has been used in at least two movies, in Nelsen Mandela's inauguration speech and in previous blog posts here.

For most of my life, I sought to get what I wanted in various ways. As a child, I pleaded my case for my list of toys from the Sears catalog.

I have been studying spirituality, psychology and metaphysics for the past 18 years. I started with simple books like Norman Vincent Peale’s “The Power of Positive Thinking” and Napoleon Hill’s classic “Think and Grow Rich.”
